Privacy Policy

How Events Crafted collects, uses and protects your personal information, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

1. Who we are

Events Crafted ("we", "us") is an event management business at 11 King Edward Street, Newton Park, Port Elizabeth. We are the responsible party for the personal information described in this policy. Contact: larissa@eventscrafted.co.za or 071 856 4737.

2. Information we collect

  • Contact details that you give us: name, company, phone number and email address.
  • Event details that you give us: event type, date, guest numbers, budget, venue and requirements.
  • Guest information that you give us to plan your event, for example guest lists and dietary needs.
  • Basic technical information that your browser sends when you visit this website.

3. How the quote form works

This website does not store the information that you type in the quote form. When you press "Send via WhatsApp", your details open in a WhatsApp message on your own device. You decide if you send it. WhatsApp's own privacy policy applies to that message.

4. How we use your information

  • To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote.
  • To plan and deliver your event.
  • To share necessary details with suppliers who work on your event, for example venues and caterers.
  • To keep records that the law requires.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Sharing with suppliers

We share only the information that a supplier needs to do their part of your event. We ask our suppliers to keep that information confidential.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as long as the law requires.

7. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.

8. Your rights

Under POPIA, you can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, and you can object to how we use it. Send your request to larissa@eventscrafted.co.za. You can also complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa (inforegulator.org.za).

9. Third-party services

This website uses Google Fonts, Google Maps and links to WhatsApp and Facebook. These services can collect technical information under their own privacy policies.

10. Changes

We can update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
